New Data Feed functionality: Get more exposure for products in your store

We’re pleased to announce that Spiffy Stores now provides data feeds for popular shopping comparison sites.  By using the new XML data feeds built into our online store software, you’ll now be able to attract more visitors, which should convert to sales.

Online shopping is one of today’s growth areas, and many customers want the best price they can get when purchasing online. This is where price comparison sites can help online shoppers get the best deal. For you, as a merchant, these sites can help you get a wider exposure for your products in a cost effective manner as your products will be seen by a larger number of customers who are shopping on line for similar goods.

Until now, providing the product data to a shopping portal involved a lot of technical experience as most sites require some sort of XML or RSS data feed. Today, this is now a trivial task, as we launch support for the data feeds for four major comparison shopping sites. Creating a data feed is now as simple as entering a name for the feed and selecting which products are to be included in the feed. All the rest is done for you. You simply let your portal provider know the URL that has been generated for you, and you’re done!

Spiffy Stores currently supports the following price comparison shopping services:

– Shopping.com
– Myshopping.com.au
– Getprice.com.au
– Google Merchant Center and Google Base

In coming months, more shopping portal sites will be added as demand requires. If you have a favourite site, please let us know and we’ll do our best to try and include it in our list of supported product feeds.

Unlike some other online store software providers, we don’t charge any extra for this service. It’s included in all our plans free of charge. Our goal is to help you sell more, and if your online shop is successful, then so are we!

To try out this new feature, please visit the “Marketing -> Product data feeds” page in your Spiffy Store Toolbox.  More information about setting up your XML product feed is also available in the Spiffy Stores knowledge base.

If you’re not currently a Spiffy Store owner, then visit our web site to set up a new online store.
